| The requirement for this job was to have a freestanding panel that
included a PLC with 22 cards. Since we could not find a panel of the size we needed,
while maintaining required delivery schedule, we decided to bolt two large panels back to
back. A gasket was used to retain its NEMA rating and holes were cut through both
back planes and enclosures in order to pass wires from one side to the other. The
other requirement was to have the back planes isolated from the enclosures. For this,
we designed and created in house, a set of isolating brackets using plastic impregnated
wood.
This job also included the manufacturing of two smaller panels one of which was a PLC
panel with the same construction as the larger one.
